Since the beginning of the war, the Public Union “Ukrainian Foundation for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving” has been carrying out a humanitarian volunteer mission, within which

– 250 families have been evacuated;

– raised almost UAH 18 million for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, these funds were used for the production of individual protective equipment and other needs of our defenders;

– delivered 700 tons of UNICEF humanitarian aid to medical institutions;

– transferred 50 Starlink terminals to communities affected by the actions of the Russian invaders.

Media projects

For almost a year now, the humanitarian headquarters of the Humanitarian Centre of the Public Union “Ukrainian Fund of Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving” has launched a humanitarian media mission.

We invite independent journalists who cooperate with international news agencies to fix events in Ukraine related to Russian aggression on a partner volunteer basis.

In addition to direct humanitarian assistance, true coverage of events by international media is the most important factor in helping the Ukrainian people during the war. The unbiased view of journalists and experts who are trusted by people allows us to show the real situation through the eyes of an eyewitness and convey this information to the international community, rather than using propaganda materials from pro-Russian media.

Column by Yehor Stefanovych, Chairman of the Board of the Public Union, for the online edition “Ekonomichna Pravda”

With this publication in the online edition of Ekonomichna Pravda (https://www.epravda.com.ua/), we are launching a series of scientific and analytical materials in the Ukrainian media about the work of the Public Union. The Chairman of the Board of the Public Union UFEES, Ph.D. in Economics, Yegor Stefanovych, focused on the importance of recording destruction and damage as clearly as possible using geographic information portals. In particular, how ONOVA GIS HUB helps communities not only to add information to the map, but also to calculate the number of funds for reconstruction, and create a plan for the development of the settlement’s infrastructure.

In the following materials, 1-2 times a month, Yehor Stefanovych will talk about:

  • about the cooperation of communities with donors and the issues that arise during this cooperation;
  • examples of a progressive approach to the organization of public space in reconstruction planning;
  • the importance of digitalization of communities for a transparent and high-quality recovery process;
  • implementation of energy efficiency principles during reconstruction;
  • on the cooperation of the PU with Ukrainian companies and foreign initiatives to renew Ukrainian cities and communities.

19.04.2023

Yehor Stefanovych, Chairman of the Board of the PU UFEES, devoted the second article of the project to digitalization in the online edition of Ekonomichna Pravda (www.epravda.com.ua). It is digitalization that is now becoming one of the main tools for the restoration of both individual communities and the state as a whole.

We plan to devote the next article to the principles of energy efficiency that must be implemented in the reconstruction.

Projects of 2022

6.05.2022

The first project of our media volunteer mission is a visit of the representative of the Azerbaijani information channel Pressklub.az Seymour KYAZIMOV to the destroyed Ukrainian cities.

Seymour Kazimov is a well-known Azerbaijani journalist who covers conflicts in the hottest war zones of the world and conveys his unbiased position on these events to the citizens of Azerbaijan.

During his travel to Ukraine, together with the PU UFEES volunteer mission, Seymour collected a lot of materials about the consequences of Russian aggression against the Ukrainian people. Under the focus of his lens were Mykolaiv and Kharkiv, Kyiv, and Donetsk regions. Seymour not only impartially shot the destruction, but he also communicated with local residents that had lost their homes, he felt the danger of an air-raid alert and felt domestic inconveniences due to the destroyed infrastructure.

Seymour Kazimov’s journalistic reports are already published by leading international media and truthfully tell the terrible truth about the war in Ukraine to the international community.

Within the project «Humanitarian media mission» project, we are starting to publish these materials on our website.
