Energy Efficiency, Renovation, Digital Technologies, and GIS: Prospects for Cooperation between Ukraine and Azerbaijan

The leadership of the Public Union “Ukrainian Fund of Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving” (PU UFEES) met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Ukraine Seymur Mardaliyev.

During the meeting, Anar Rafiyev and Yehor Stefanovych informed Mr. Ambassador about the projects the Public Union is implementing in Ukraine. Particular attention was paid to energy efficiency and interaction with communities to implement thermal modernization of public buildings. Also, the representatives of the PU presented the public initiative of the PU UFEES — the ONOVA League and its innovative toolkit ONOVA GIS HUB, designed for the transparent and practical renewal of Ukraine.

The parties discussed promising areas of bilateral cooperation: in particular, the use of the ONOVA GIS HUB geographic information service for territorial development and the transfer of successful Ukrainian energy efficiency experience to Azerbaijan.
