On March 12, the team of the PU UFEES took an active part in the forum “Energy Efficiency: the Way to Energy Security and Recovery”, organized by the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine (SAEE)

This event has become an important platform for discussing key issues of the country’s energy security in times of war.

The main thesis of the forum was that energy efficiency is not just a trend but a vital necessity for Ukraine. In the difficult conditions of the war, when the energy infrastructure is under constant attack, energy saving becomes a matter of national security.

The forum brought together a wide range of stakeholders: donors, international organizations, representatives of Ukrainian businesses, government, NGOs, and communities.

Among the key speakers were:

  • Oleh Nemchinov, Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine;
  • Hanna Zamazieieva, Head of the State Agency for Energy Efficiency;
  • Herman Halushchenko, Minister of Energy of Ukraine;
  • Andriy Herus, Head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy and Housing and Utilities Services;
  • International diplomats, UNDP, and GIZ representatives.

The participants discussed topical energy efficiency issues, exchanged experience, and identified priorities for the future.
