The war unleashed by Russia against Ukraine has caused serious damage to our energy system. The energy sector has become one of the main targets of Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine.

The enemy continues to deliberately destroy energy infrastructure, targeting energy facilities.

According to the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, Ukrainian energy has lost a significant part of its capacity: more than 50% of thermal, 30% of solar, and 90% of wind generation have been disabled or occupied. Power grids substations, and gas distribution networks are being destroyed. Hundreds of thousands of consumers are left without electricity and gas supply.

Now, energy efficiency is not just about saving money, it is a matter of our security and independence.

The public union “Ukrainian Fund of Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving” (PU UFEES) calls on all progressive communities to join energy efficiency programs. Together with our partners, including Ukreximbank, we help communities implement energy efficiency measures in public buildings. These projects will help you save energy and make the lives of community residents more comfortable and safe.

Here are some of the key areas of work of the PU UFEES in helping communities on the path to energy efficiency:

• Development of a roadmap for the implementation of energy efficiency in the community. We cooperate with local authorities and community residents to develop a comprehensive action plan aimed at improving energy efficiency in the community.
• Selection of objects for energy efficiency. We analyze the energy consumption of buildings and recommend which of them need urgent energy efficiency measures.
• Energy audit with the involvement of certified experts. PU UFEES cooperates with qualified energy auditors who conduct a comprehensive examination of buildings to determine their energy efficiency and develop recommendations for energy efficiency measures.
• Recommendations on financing options. We consult communities on existing energy efficiency financing programs, helping them choose the best option.
• Preparation of a complete package of documents for obtaining financing. We help to collect all the necessary documents and data required to obtain funds for energy efficiency measures.
