We continue to support local communities on the path to energy efficiency. As part of this initiative, on February 15, representatives of the PU UFEES, Chairman of the Board Yehor Stefanovich, and energy efficiency coordinator Yaroslav Kosyak made an inaugural visit to the Korosten territorial community.

During the meeting, Yehor Stefanovich shared successful case studies of thermomodernization from children’s institutions in Dnipro, Kremenchuk, Boyarka, and other communities with the community representatives. He also emphasized the active work carried out by the association’s team to assist communities in raising funds for the restoration and thermomodernization of public buildings.

One of the main topics of discussion at the meeting was the possibility of financing energy efficiency measures for budgetary institutions of the Korosten community, particularly for Municipal Lyceum No. 11 and the Consultative and Diagnostic Center of the Korosten City Central Hospital. These facilities were selected based on their significant energy consumption.

As a result of the meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Korosten territorial community and the Public union “Ukrainian Fund of Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving”. According to this document, the parties plan to actively collaborate in updating the community’s infrastructure using modern energy-efficient measures aimed at reducing energy consumption.

“The implementation of energy-efficient measures in the community is crucial primarily for the well-being of residents and improving conditions in public buildings, and energy efficiency is one of the priority areas for the development of the Korosten community,” emphasized Volodymyr Moskalenko, Mayor of Korosten.

“We are pleased with the opportunity to collaborate with the team of the Korosten City Council. We plan to support Korosten in attracting financing, investments, and preferential loans for thermomodernization. The essence of the process is that the repayment of credit funds occurs through the achieved savings from the implementation of energy-efficient measures. We believe that our joint efforts will help achieve significant cost savings, which the community can use to improve the quality of life for its citizens. We urge all Ukrainian communities to join the process of energy-efficient renewal of the country,” commented Yehor Stefanovich, Chairman of the PU UFEES Board and the main coordinator of the ONOVA League.

Present at the meeting were First Deputy Mayor Volodymyr Vyhivskyi, Head of the Housing and Communal Services Department Valeriy Martynyuk, and the community’s energy manager Anna Sergieieva, who expressed their support for the announced collaboration. Their experience and knowledge will be a valuable contribution to the implementation of energy-efficient measures and will contribute to the achievement of common goals for community development.

Together, let’s stride towards the energy independence of the country 🤝🇺🇦!
