Representatives of the public organization made a working trip to the Poltava region. The visit involved working meetings with the leadership of the Poltava Regional State Administration and representatives of the Poltava and Myrhorod city territorial communities.

Yehor Stefanovych, Chairman of the Board of the PU UFEES with representatives of Poltava communities

The main topic of discussion was the development of joint actions to overcome the risks associated with energy supply shortages due to massive shelling of Ukraine’s energy system by Russia.

The PU UFEES offered the Poltava region communities consulting and training support to implement comprehensive energy-efficient measures to save energy and achieve energy independence.

These measures include:

  • Use of renewable energy sources
  • Replacement of natural gas with other fuels
  • Cogeneration
  • Modernization of energy generation sources
  • Modernization of energy and heat networks
  • Thermo-modernization of public buildings

Yehor Stefanovich commented on the results of the meetings:

“In the face of the blackout threat, energy efficiency and energy independence are becoming one of the main issues for Ukraine’s economic survival. The Poltava region, as a progressive region, in the face of a total shortage of energy resources, is becoming a leader in the implementation of energy-saving measures. We have agreed to unite the efforts of the Public Union with the regional leadership and communities to strengthen the country’s energy independence.

Our presentation of successful experience in implementing energy efficiency in other regions inspired the Poltava residents to take active action in this direction. For our part, we are ready to provide comprehensive assistance to communities in implementing projects that will allow them to save energy and heat resources in the shortest possible time and with maximum efficiency. We also consult communities on attracting donor and budget funds to implement thermo-modernization programs. Implementation of a smart approach to energy consumption will ensure greater energy resilience for each community and prevent energy crises at the national level.”

So, together we continue to build an energy-independent and economically strong European state – Ukraine!
