PU UFEES at NUFA2 and World Habitat Day: sharing experience for energy efficient sustainable urban development in Ukraine and the world
The second Azerbaijan National Urban Forum (NUFA2), which was dedicated to urban planning and development, has come to an end.
NUFA2 brought together a wide range of participants and experts from both Azerbaijan and abroad.
The main goal of the Forum is to cooperate and share experiences of successful national and sub-regional development. The “New Urban Agenda” proposed by the Forum has become the foundation for creating a common and effective framework for sustainable housing.
Just a reminder: The delegation of the Public Union “Ukrainian Fund of Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving” (PU UFEES), represented by President Anar Rafiyev and Chairman of the Board Yehor Stefanovych, took part in the forum at the invitation of the State Committee for Urban Development and Architecture of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
“I thank the organizers of NUFA2 for the invitation and excellent organization of the event. It was a pleasure to communicate with like-minded people and visit my homeland. Ukraine has become my second home country, but Azerbaijan is my homeland forever. It is important for me to share the experience of implementing thermal modernization in Ukraine with representatives of Azerbaijani society and contribute to building an energy-efficient future for both countries,” said Anar Rafiyev, President of the PU UFEES.
“We are here to exchange scientific and innovative experience with leading experts and builders from around the world, as well as to further transfer this experience to Ukraine in order to renew our regions.
Within the framework of the Forum, we are also actively sharing our successful experience in restoring Ukraine with the help of energy-efficient solutions and GIS technologies with representatives of other countries, in particular with our esteemed partners from Azerbaijan,” commented on the participation in the Forum Chairman of the Board of the PU UFEES, Yehor Stefanovych.
The NUFA2 Forum kicked off the Urban Planning Week “Cities Week 2023,” which was organized by the Republic of Azerbaijan in cooperation with the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat).
World Habitat Day 2023 was opened by Maimouna Mohd Sharif, Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme. Ms. Sharif focused on the importance of sustainable urbanization.
Nearly 1,000 participants from 108 countries are taking part in the event, in person or online.
Working together for an energy-efficient renewal of the planet!
