Why digital tools are important for community reconstruction and development

We continue the series of scientific and analytical materials “How to rebuild Ukraine” in the Ukrainian media.

The second material of the project in the online edition Economichna Pravda was devoted to digitalization by Yehor Stefanovych, Chairman of the Board of the PU UFEES. It is digitalization that is now becoming one of the main tools for restoring both individual communities and the state as a whole.

Why is it important to introduce digital tools for reconstruction right now?

• The logic and transparency of the justification for a comprehensive recovery and development plan in the case of each community that needs it should be based solely on the analysis of specific data, which can be collected and adequately evaluated by a capable community that is at least partially digitalized.
• In this case, digitalization becomes a tool for transparency in rebuilding communities and Ukraine as a whole. To international donors who are already allocating funds, to the state, and to residents.
• An example of a partner is the Makariv community, which is implementing digital tools together with cBrain (Denmark) and with the support of the Public Union.

We plan to devote the next article to the principles of energy efficiency that must be implemented in the reconstruction.
