From December 9 to 13, 2024, Ukraine is hosting Energy Efficiency Week 2024 \u2014 a large-scale event promoting governmental and public initiatives in energy efficiency. The program includes press conferences, dialogue platforms, a forum for energy managers, scientific conferences, and workshops, including sessions on using artificial intelligence in energy conservation.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The event is organized by the Business for Partnership<\/strong> NGO with support from the project \u201cPromoting Energy Efficiency and Implementation of the EU Energy Efficiency Directive in Ukraine\u201d<\/strong>, implemented by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).<\/p>\n

\u201cThe National Energy Efficiency Week 2024 project is a national platform that accumulates energy efficiency achievements for the year, analyzes achievements and challenges, and forms a new vector of development.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The PU UFEES actively participated in the event, focusing on:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • discussing financing principles for energy efficiency projects<\/strong>;<\/li>\n
  • reviewing financial leasing programs for energy-efficient equipment<\/strong>;<\/li>\n
  • exploring community development and infrastructure modernization strategies<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Chairman of the PU UFEES, Yehor Stefanovych, commented:<\/p>\n

    \u201cEnergy Efficiency Week has become an essential platform for exchanging experiences, discussing pressing issues, and finding effective solutions in energy efficiency. Together with partners, we identified clear steps for further implementation of energy-efficient technologies in communities.<\/p>\n

    We paid special attention to financing energy efficiency projects, financial leasing programs for modernizing equipment, and introducing cutting-edge technologies such as solar panels and energy-saving lighting systems.<\/p>\n

    Implementing energy efficiency measures in communities is the key to Ukraine\u2019s energy independence. These initiatives transform infrastructure, improve living standards, and establish an environmentally conscious approach to resource management.<\/p>\n

    UFEE remains committed to supporting projects in this area. We are open to collaboration with all stakeholders \u2014 governmental bodies, businesses, and NGOs. Together, we can achieve significant progress and make Ukraine an energy-independent state. We will continue to work towards this shared goal.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

    Support from State Authorities<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    Serhiy Sukhomlyn, Head of the State Agency for Reconstruction and Infrastructure Development, highlighted the importance of community energy efficiency projects for 2025. Priorities include replacing street lighting, installing solar panels at water utilities, and integrating solar power plants into projects such as the water supply system for Mykolaiv.<\/p>\n

    Uniting Experts<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    Energy Efficiency Week 2024 brought together representatives of NGOs, energy auditors, community leaders, and other experts. Collaborative efforts aimed at achieving Ukraine\u2019s energy independence fostered the generation of new ideas for implementing energy-efficient solutions in communities.<\/p>\n

    Organizers and participants expressed their readiness to continue working together to ensure energy independence, improve living standards, and promote sustainable development across the country.<\/p>\n
