Ukraine is moving towards green construction and energy efficiency. This thesis was confirmed by the participants of the Construction Forum “ENERGY-EFFICIENT RENEWAL OF UKRAINE”.<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

On February 13, representatives of the PU UFEES joined the event organized by the public organization “Business for Partnership”<\/a><\/strong><\/span> with the support of the Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine (SAEE)<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, and the State Inspection of Architecture and Urban Planning of Ukraine<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Representatives of ministries, scientists, and professional associations in construction discussed key aspects of sustainable construction and cooperation methods to achieve green and energy-efficient goals in Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Experts emphasized the importance of joint efforts towards green construction and energy efficiency, highlighting the significance of implementing thermomodernization as a key stage in this process.<\/p>\n

During the event, ideas regarding financing and legislative initiatives were presented. For instance, Yegor Farenuk<\/strong>, the director of the Energy Efficiency Fund<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, pointed out the necessary amount of funds of 3 trillion hryvnias for conducting comprehensive thermomodernization.<\/p>\n

Olena Shulyak<\/strong>, Chair of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the Organization of State Power, Local Self-Government, Regional Development, and Urban Planning, dedicated her speech to financing methods and legislative initiatives in the field of construction materials processing.<\/p>\n

Alexander Slobodzhan<\/strong>, Executive Director of the Association of Ukrainian Cities<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, drew attention to the implementation of European directives and standards in Ukrainian communities. He specifically noted that the Association of Ukrainian Cities considers it necessary for the state to repay the tariff difference debt.<\/p>\n

Hanna Zamazieieva<\/strong>, Head of the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine, informed the attendees about potential sources of funding, including carbon credits.<\/p>\n

Ganna Zamazieieva emphasized, ‘Implementing an energy management system allows saving 5-15% on utility costs, and after a set of energy-efficient measures – up to 30% or even more. This implementation is mandatory for all government bodies, as well as those who seek to obtain state support, for example, through the Decarbonization Fund programs.’<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

“In Ukraine, the first stage of implementing energy-efficient measures of a large-scale comprehensive thermal modernization program is underway. Communities are the leaders of positive changes in this direction. Our team focuses on assisting communities in thermal modernization, and we invite all progressive communities to join this process. I want to emphasize that an important incentive for receiving preferential loans is that the repayment is made from the saved funds from the implementation of energy-efficient measures, and the community does not spend extra money.<\/p>\n

I also want to express gratitude to the Public Union ‘Business for Partnership’ for the excellent organization of the event, which brought together the efforts of the public, business, and government towards ensuring energy-efficient renewal of Ukraine,” commented Yehor Stefanovich<\/strong>, Chairman of the Board of the PU UFEES.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n
